Fãs de ritmos jamaicanos, comemorai: o "cientista" do dub e do reggae Lee "Scratch" Perry fará shows no Brasil. O produtor é a principal atração do festival pernambucano Abril pro Rock, que celebra 15 anos com uma programação que terá também os Mutantes.
A Folha apurou que os organizadores negociam outras duas apresentações de Perry, provavelmente, em São Paulo e no Rio.
Engenheiro de som e compositor jamaicano, Perry ajudou, nos anos 60, a criar o reggae, produzindo álbuns de Bob Marley & Wailers. Divide ainda o título de inventor do dub -base instrumental do reggae, que destaca linhas de baixo e reverberações- com King Tubby.
Essa não é a primeira vez que sua vinda é anunciada. Em 2002, Perry tinha datas marcadas em São Paulo, mas cancelou na última hora. Desta vez, Perry já avisou que não viaja antes das 14h, porque "está dormindo"...
